Fall is here in all its multicolored beauty! God's handiwork ministers to us in many ways! God is so awesome! We are so finite. It's amazing to us that Almighty God would choose to work through frail human beings! In His sovereign plan, He takes what we give to Him...your prayers, resources and service and uses them to accomplish His purposes. We are so blessed to be a part of His family...and we are so blessed by your faithfulness to Him extended to us. We can see Him at work in small and big ways...daily.

LIBERIA

Liberia has been big in the news in recent months. The civil war has paid a heavy price in the loss of thousands of lives. The spiritual battle is just as real but we have much to praise Him for in recent months.

Rick Sacra states ... Our ministry partners are working on several major projects. Please pray for God's guidance and direction as each of these initiatives grows and develops, that we'll all keep our eyes on the Lord and on furthering His kingdom work:

Loading sticks onto pickup truck. If you feel led to have a part in helping ELWA, your gifts marked project 95345 will help services provide the relief help you see in the picture and support for the ministries of ECUL Churches , Radio, Hospital, and Education. Or marking your gift project 95346 will help renovate the war torn housing at ELWA.

Just as in Iraq , the rebuilding in Liberia will take years. Most of the teens now carrying guns have known nothing but war and violence. We have heard that the current literacy rate has dropped to 20%.

Kevin in uniform.Speaking of Iraq , Kevin is still west of Baghdad , near Fallujah, where there is very limited phone service. Thus, we haven't heard much from him lately. Our ears are listening to TV, etc., but our eyes are on the Lord. It is very possible that Kevin's tenure in Iraq will be extended. Your prayers have held us (& him) up; we just can't thank you enough! His current address is:

Unloading cabinets from pickup truck. Praise the Lord, the SIM-USA purchasing and shipping has now moved into the new office space attached to the warehouse. Goods are presently being collected for a container due to go to Niger. Also a large donation of medical supplies is waiting to be sorted and shipped to various mission hospitals.

Steve is now busy with the re-organizing and renovation of the SIM-US office building.

We could see the Lord's blessing on Friendship Day in many ways. Over 1125 visited our campus. One choir that participated had just arrived from S. Africa that week. We pray the Lord will use that exposure to call others to be involved in reaching this world for Christ.

The Lord chose to take Steve's mother to be with Himself on June 12. The cancer took her so quickly but we are thankful she didn't have an extended period of suffering. Lisa had the joy of being her caregiver her last month -- a blessing she will forever cherish.

We are enjoying having Joseph at home with us now. He is getting good experience working in the computer department at SIM.

Psalms 99:1-2
The Lord reigns, let the nations tremble; ... Great is the Lord in Zion;
he is exalted above all the nations.
